About Makana

The Makana Ferry Service started its voyage in the Fall of 2021. The Makana Ferry team is a family-owned and operated business with extensive experience in the ferry and cargo industries.

For over 30 years our companies have provided ferry services between Anguilla and St. Maarten. We have also provided Cargo shipping services between Anguilla, St. Maarten, Saba, Statia, and St. Kitts.

We understand the importance of maritime connectivity for the overall development of our Caribbean Island nations. We are committed to championing this pioneering effort to improve regional tourism by increasing access to Saba, Statia, St. Kitts, and eventually, other neighboring islands.

Vessel

The M/V Makana is a 72’ Sabre catamaran fast ferry, carrying 150 passengers across two decks: a main lower deck, an upper deck with covered top deck seating area and an open sun deck area. The fully air-conditioned vessel is equipped with a soft drink bar and will have Wi-Fi connectivity in the foreseeable future.

Captain Dwayne Hodge is excited to welcome you aboard the M/V Makana. He has over 27 years of experience in the maritime industry. Captain Hodge promises on-time, reliable and courteous ferry service.
